LADY REDDIES LOOKING FOR CONFERENCE ROAD WIN AT UAM

 
Henderson State has been perfect at home, but the Lady Reddies have struggled on the road losing their last four conference games away from the Duke Wells Center.
 
The Lady Reddies will attempt to end that skid on Saturday as they face Arkansas-Monticello in a 2 p.m. tip in Monticello, Ark.
 
Henderson State is coming off an impressive 78-49 win over Ouachita Baptist in a game that saw the Lady Reddies shoot 53 percent from the field.
 
The Lady Reddies enter Saturday's game with an 11-5 overall record and a 6-4 mark in the Great American Conference.
 
Henderson is 1-4 on the road against GAC opponents with the lone win being a 69-53 victory over East Central back on Nov. 23.
 
Aungelique Sledge, who is averaging 24.0 points per game against GAC opponents, leads the GAC in scoring averaging 22.5 points per game.
 
In the last five games, the West Helena, Ark. product is averaging 24.8 points per game. Sledge was limited to 14 points against UAM earlier this year.

Krystal Beachum has picked up her game and is averaging 13.2 points and 6.9 rebounds. In the last five games, Beachum has averaged 15.6 points and 9.6 boards. In the first game against UAM, the senior from Mexia, Texas totaled 14 points and 6 rebounds.
 
Tiara Davis recorded her second double-double of the season against OBU having 17 points and 13 rebounds. Davis has brought her average up to 9.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest.
 
Davis scored a career-high 24 points and had 9 rebounds in December against the Cotton Blossoms.
           
Arkansas-Monticello enters the game with a 5-11 record overall and a 1-9 mark in the GAC. UAM is coming off a 79-55 lost to Southern Arkansas. The Cotton Blossoms have lost their last seven straight.
 
Jordan Goforth leads the team in scoring averaging 18.1 points per contest and is a 52 percent shooter from the field. In the first meeting against the Lady Reddies, Goforth scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.     

Nikki Mullen averages 12.1 points per contest and is UAM's 3-point shooting threat, leading the GAC converting on 45 percent from beyond the arc (34-of-76). Mullen scored a game-high 23 points earlier this season against Henderson State including sinking 7-of-13 jumpers from long range.         
             
Arkansas-Monticello leads the all-time series having a 49-34 advantage in a series which dates back to 1973. Henderson State has won the last three meetings including a 67-60 win earlier this season.
