LADY REDDIES LOSE SECOND STRAIGHT HOME GAME

After winning eight straight home games to begin the season, Henderson State lost for the second consecutive game at home as Southeastern Oklahoma beat the Lady Reddies 74-66, Saturday at the Duke Wells Center.

Southeastern Oklahoma, 12-6 overall and 8-4 in the Great American Conference, knocked down 11-of-21 three-point field goals to upend the Lady Reddies.

The turning point of the game came at the 6:02 mark in the first-half.

With the Lady Reddies winning 23-19 following a 3-point jumper from Aungelique Sledge, the Savage Storm ended the half on a 17-2 run to take a 36-25 lead at the break.

Henderson State ended the half making just 1 of 7 field goal attempts.

The Lady Reddies, 12-7 overall and 7-6 in the GAC, never recovered as SEOSU shot 52 percent from the field in the second half.

Henderson State also committed 20 turnovers leading to 18 points for SEOSU.

Krystal Beachum led Henderson with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Sledge finished the game with 15 points and 9 boards. Dulincia Keener led Henderson in rebounding with 12 boards to go along with 9 points.

Emily Williams led the Savage Storm with 26 points.

The Lady Reddies will next travel to Bethany, Okla. to face Southern Nazarene on Thursday, Feb. 6 with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m.
