The Henderson State softball team will travel to Bentonville, Ark. this weekend to take part in one the largest NCAA Division II softball classics in the country as the Lady Reddies participate in the 8-State Classic beginning Friday.
 
 This year's tournament features 29 teams from eight different states with a total of 85 games.

The Lady Reddies open the tournament on Friday against Minnesota-Duluth at 1:30 p.m. followed by a game with Central Missouri at 3:30 p.m.
 
On Saturday, the Lady Reddies play Central Oklahoma at 11:30 a.m. and finish the tournament against Emporia State with the first pitch set for 1:30 p.m.
 
Henderson State, 3-4 on the season, has an impressive .313 team batting average. Amber Klug leads the team with a .550 average, going 11-for-20 with three doubles and one home run.

Ashlyn White has a .444 average (4-for-9), while Tricia Hock is hitting .409 (9-for-22) after going 9-for-14 last weekend.
