Kayla Williams' bunt single in the bottom of the ninth-inning propelled Henderson State to a double-header sweep of Ouachita Baptist in the Southern Bancorp Battle of the Ravine, Tuesday at Dee White Field in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Henderson State, 19-14 overall and 15-7 in the Great American Conference, won the opener 8-1, and rallied to win game two 5-4 to run its home winning streak to 11 games.

Trailing 4-1 after a 3-run home run by OBU's Kayley Willingham, Henderson State rallied for three runs in the bottom of the sixth-inning.

Amber Klug led off the inning with her third hit of the game followed by a two-run home run by Sarah Gipson.

Kailey Johnson then provided a pinch-hit single to right field. Hannah Bender, who pinch-ran for Johnson, scored when Amy Halter hit a double to right-center field to tie the score at 4-4.

OBU threatened to regain the lead in the top of the seventh having runners on first and second with one-out. However, HSU catcher Amber Klug picked off Olivia Guin at second-base to help the Lady Reddies get out of the inning.

In the ninth-inning OBU's Willingham reached on an error to lead off the inning and later advanced to third-base on a sacrifice bunt by Parrish Reed. With one-out and Willingham on third, HSU pitcher Ashlyn White struck out the next Lady Tiger hitters to end the inning.

In the Henderson ninth, Halter led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Alicia Zack. After Tricia Hock flew out to right-field, Halter stole third to set the stage for Williams.

The senior from Longview, Texas put down a bunt to the left side of the infield and beat the play at first allowing Halter to score the game-winning run.

White entered the game in relief of Williams and pitched the final 4 1/3 innings, striking out two batters to improve to 5-3 on the year.

In the opener, Henderson State used a four run fourth-inning and a three run sixth-inning to beat the Lady Tigers 8-1.

Williams had a single, triple and two runs batted in, with White having two hits including a solo home run. Halter also had two hits in the game and a RBI.

Cagen Medlock went the distance in the circle, allowing five hits while striking out five batters to improve to 7-3 on the year.

Halter and Klug ended the day with four hits each, while Williams had three hits including three RBI.

Henderson State will next play host to Southern Nazarene in a four-game Great American Conference series beginning Friday at 1 p.m. at Dee White Field.
