Henderson State will play its final regular-season softball series of the season as the Lady Reddies travel to Durant, Okla. to take on Southeastern Oklahoma in a four-game series beginning Friday at 2 p.m.
The two teams will finish the series with a double-header Saturday at Noon.
Henderson State, 27-20 overall and 23-13 in the Great American Conference, is currently in second-place among teams eligible for next week's GAC Tournament in Bentonville, Ark.
Southeastern Oklahoma enters the series with a 32-14 record overall and a 25-10 mark in league play. The Savage Storm is in first-place and needs just one win this weekend to clinch the regular-season title and the top seed in the tournament.
SEOSU brings a team .301 batting average into the series.
Jessica Simmons leads the team offensive and is second in the GAC with a .423 average. Simmons has hit 15 doubles this season and has stolen 31 bases.
Sydney Kramer follows with a .399 average with a team best 44 runs batted in.
The Savage Storm pitching staff sports a 3.56 earned run average. Mindy McElroy has a league-best 18-7 record with a 2.34 ERA.
Henderson State ranks fourth in the GAC offensively with a .305 team batting average.
Amber Klug has led the Lady Reddie offense all year and ranks seventh in the league with a .397 average. In the last 10 games, Klug is 13-for-27 for a .481 average.
Ashlyn White follows with a .374 average including a team-best six home runs and 35 runs batted in.
Cagen Medlock ranks seventh in the GAC in pitching wins having a 13-6 record. Medlock has a 3.47 ERA and has struck out 74 batters in 113 inning or work.
Following the weekend series, the Lady Reddies will begin GAC Tournament play on Thursday, May 1.
