Box Score 2 Henderson State extended its win streak to six games as the Reddie softball team picked up wins over Upper Iowa and Lindenwood, Saturday at the 8-States Classic in Bentonville, Ark.

The Reddies, 9-3 on the season, began the day with an 8-0 victory over Upper Iowa and an 11-4 triumph over Lindenwood to close out the day.

Sarah Gipson led the Henderson offense on Saturday going 5-for-6 with a double, home run and eight runs batted in.

Tricia Hock went 3-for-6 with five runs scored, while
Alicia Zack was 3-for-7 with a pair of RBI and three runs scored,

Morgan South collected two hits with a home run and two runs driven home.

Michelle Sorensen pitched a complete game shutout in the win over Upper Iowa. Sorensen allowed just two hits while striking out seven batters in picking up her fifth win of the year.

Ali Hargis picked up the win against Lindenwood, working five innings while striking out four batters,

Sunday's games have been cancelled due to poor weather conditions expected for the Bentonville area.

Henderson State will begin Great American Conference play next weekend in Ada, Okla. against East Central. The four game series is set to begin Friday at 2 p.m.
