Henderson State swept all three doubles matches and went on to win five of six singles matches to beat Ouachita Baptist 8-1 in women's tennis Monday in Arkadelphia, Ark.

Three thrilling doubles matches set up Henderson's win, with No. 3 doubles being the most dramatic of comebacks.

Kirsten Pierce and Maddie McJunkins fell behind OBU's Polina Tsymbalova and Keely Howk 7-2.

The Henderson duo fought off numerous match points and rallied to tie the match at 8-8 to set up a tie-breaker. Pierce and McJunkins outlasted the OBU pair winning 7-1 to claim the match.

At No. 1 doubles, Annie Shannon and Amanda Korinihona trailed Valeriya Mansvetova and Vanja Bogetic 4-1 before winning seven straight games to claim the match 8-4.

Sara Griffin and Hannah Watson controlled their match from the opening serve, as the pair defeated Kourtney Chumbley and Camila Ferreira 8-3.

Henderson quickly claimed the match in singles play with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 singles.

Shannon downed Bogetic 6-0 and 6-1, while Korinihona beat Chumbley 7-6 and 6-1 at No. 3 to claim the match.

Pierce claimed Henderson's sixth win with a 6-1, 6-3, victory over Ferreira at No. 4 singles.

Henderson also won at No. 5 and No. 6 singles with Watson defeating Tsymbalova, 6-2, 6-1, with Reaves beating Howk, 6-4, 6-2.

Henderson State, 6-7 overall and 2-3 in the Great American Conference, will finish regular-season play on Thursday when the Reddies play host to Harding at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center with the first serve set for 2 p.m.
