The Henderson State women's cross country team turned in another solid performance placing second out of eight teams at the UT-Tyler Braveheart Invitational on Friday.
It was the second meet for the Reddies and both times Henderson finished as runners-up.
Samantha Nickell led Henderson with a fifth-place finish in a time of 21:18.
Emily Christenson turned in a time of 22:10 to finish in eighth-place, while
Jasmine Spear placed 15
th finishing the course in 23:03.
Christina Jackson,
Alison Waggoner and Alexandra Cuello where bunched together finishing 18
th, 19
th and 20
th, with Jackson attacking the 5 kilometer course in 23:41, while Waggoner clocked in at 23:44 and Cuello in 23:53.
Also competing was
Ashley Gore who placed 29
th (25:51), and
Karen Escamilla in 42
nd (26:23).
Texas-Tyler won the meet with 33 points, followed by Henderson State 65, East Texas Baptist (78), Wiley (125), LeTourneau (137), Belhaven (150), Louisiana College (153) and LSU Shreveport (212).
