ST. ALBANS, Mo. — Henderson State turned in the best score of the first round on Monday and sits in fourth place after 36 holes at the DII National Preview.
The Reddies shot 3-under 285 for the first round which gave them the lead through 18. A score of 6-over 294 in round two dropped them three spots back at the loaded 18-team field.
Stuart Krog led HSU on Monday with rounds of 3-under 69 and even-par 72 to settle into a tie for sixth place.
Mitchell Ford was also under par for the day with scores of 72 and 1-under 71 to tie for 11th.
Nick Shapiro was third for the Reddies and tied for 31st overall after carding rounds of 72 and 75, while
Christian Woods ended the day tied for 40th with a 72 and 77.
Miller Harris was the final player for HSU and turned in a 74 and 76 in his first action of the year to tie for 47th.
Arkansas Tech leads the event through two rounds after shooting 273 for the second 18 holes.
Henderson tees off the third and final round of play tomorrow morning at 9:35 a.m. at the Country Club of St. Albans.
