Men's Golf in Seventh After Two Rounds of Arkansas Collegiate

EL DORADO, Ark. – Reddie men's golf sits in seventh place after two rounds of the Arkansas Collegiate at Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado. Henderson bounced back from an opening round 38-over for a second round of 31-over.

Jacob Knowlton was the leading scorer for Henderson State on Monday, turning in rounds of 78 and 77. The senior sits in ninth place on the individual leaderboard.

Cale Preston, playing this tournament as an individual, is the only other Reddie in the top 20 after rounds of 80 and 78. Preston's second round was highlighted by two birdies.

Colin Purifoy and Cooper Williams are part of a nine-way tie for 40th place through Monday's two rounds. Each player scored an opening round 82 before a second round 81. Purifoy and Williams each carded three birdies on the day.

Brode Horton sits alone in 49th place after rounds of 84 and 80. Despite the scores, Horton had four birdies on the day, second most on the team.

Alex Cuadrado rounded out the scoring with rounds of 85 and 84.

The Reddies wrap up the Arkansas Collegiate with the third and final round scheduled for a Tuesday morning shotgun start.
