Men's Golf Represented in All-GAC Awards

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Three Henderson State golfers were named to the GAC All-Men's Golf teams, as announced Sunday at the conference championships in Broken Arrow. Sophomore Brode Horton and seniors Jacob Knowlton and Colin Purifoy were all named honorable mention All-GAC.

Horton, a Hot Springs, Arkansas native, earned his first GAC honor after a consistent year for the Reddies. Knowlton, a senior from Cabot, earned his second conference accolade after a second-team performance in 2025, while Purifoy, a senior from Hope, earned the first league honor of his career.

Additionally, HSU was well represented in the academic awards. Freshman Marcos Park was named an Elite Scholar Athlete. This award is only given to student athletes with the highest GPA with a minimum of 70 credit hours. Senior Cooper Williams was named to the GAC Academic Honor Roll.  All athletes with at least a 3.5 GPA and a minimum of one year of full-time college residency are eligible for this honor.

The Reddies are in sixth place after one round at the GAC Championships with the second round upcoming on Monday.
