ST. ALBANS, Mo. — The Reddies' men's golf team turned in a team score of 8-over 296 on Tuesday to hold steady and claim fourth place at the 18-team DII National Preview.
Henderson State finished the 54-hole event with a three-round score of 11-over 875.
Mitchell Ford and
Stuart Krog tied for 15th individually after Ford carded a 2-over 74 in the final round and Krog shot a 4-over 76. Both players were 1-over par for the tournament.
Nick Shapiro, who shared the best score of the final round for Henderson State with a 1-over 73, tied for 24th overall and was 4-over for the event, while
Christian Woods, who also turned in a 1-over 73 on Tuesday, tied for 29th and finished 6-over par. Freshman
Miller Harris, in his first tournament of his career, shot 84 in the final round to tie for 66th.
Arkansas Tech won the tournament with a team score of 9-under 255.
Henderson plays next at its Battle for the Belt Tournament which it hosts at Hot Springs Country Club on Oct. 21-22.
