ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Henderson State returns to the friendly confines of home this weekend when the Reddies host Northwestern Oklahoma State in doubleheaders at 2 p.m. Friday and 12 p.m. Saturday.
REDDIES REPORT
- Henderson State returns home after dropping three games in last weekend's series at Southern Nazarene. The Reddies are very used to playing at Dee White Field this season and have played 16 home games already this year. Following the series with the Lady Rangers HSU will hit the road for 10-straight games and will not play again at home until April 5.

Ashlyn Taylor has been tearing the cover off the ball for the Reddies. Taylor is third in the GAC in batting average this year (.470) and is leading the team with 31 hits, 18 RBIs, and an on-base percentage of .485. The pride of Arkadelphia High was 7-for-11 against SNU and earned her second-straight GAC Freshman of the Week honor on Tuesday.

Marcela Lopez is having a terrific first year with Henderson. The junior transfer from Division I Incarnate Word is batting .403, has 27 hits, and leads the GAC in stolen bases with 17 in 20 attempts this year. Lopez is one of just four players who have started every game this season for the Reddies.

Mallory Brewer is tied for the lead in the conference with 11 starts this season and is second in the GAC with 16 total appearances. Brewer has pitched the second-most innings of any player in the conference thus far (69.2) and carries a 3.84 ERA.
- As a team, Henderson is second in the conference with a blistering .321 average at the plate this season. The Reddies have six players in the everyday-lineup who carry averages over .300 and two, Taylor and Lopez, who are batting above .400. HSU is Top-3 in the GAC in slugging percentage (.448), OBP (.406), and hits (197).

SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA
- Northwestern Oklahoma has struggled out of the gates this season and comes into the weekend series 2-14 overall and 2-10 in GAC play. The Lady Rangers have lost their last nine games in a row and have been outscored in those games 82-17.
- NWOSU is led offensively by Madison Friest, who leads the Lady Rangers in nearly every offensive category, including batting average (.429), hits (21), doubles (7), RBI (14), slugging (.633), and OBP (.451). Friest is the only player on the team for Northwestern with double-figure RBIs on the year.
- The two most likely starters in the circle for the Lady Rangers are Allison Wells and Karly Murray, who have each started seven games this season. Wells has an 8.10 ERA in 36 2/3 innings, while Murray carries a 10.22 ERA in 34 1/3 innings pitched. Opponents are batting .391 this year against the two starters for NWOSU.
