Henderson Shoots 288 to Sit Sixth in Kentucky

TEAM LEADERBOARD

OWENSBORO, Ky. — After shooting even-par 288 as a team on Sunday, Henderson State's men's golf team finds itself in sixth place through 18 holes at the Kentucky Wesleyan Fall Invite.

The Reddies were led in round one by Mitchell Ford, who fired a season-best 3-under 69 to pace Henderson and end the day tied for 11th individually.

Just behind Ford was Christian Woods, who continued his strong play with a 2-under 70 on Sunday, which tied him for 15th. Woods led the Reddies at last week's NSU Golf Classic by shooting 2-under for the event.

Stuart Krog was third for Henderson on the day and shot 2-over 74 to settle into a tie for 51st. Nick Shapiro turned in a 3-over 75 to tie for 66th after 18 holes, while Francisco Maciel carded a 5-over 77 to tie for 79th.

Central Missouri leads the 19-team tournament after shooting 11-under 277 as a team in round one at the Par-72 Pearl Club course, which will host the 2020 NCAA Central/Midwest Regional this coming spring.

Henderson tees off the second and final round tomorrow morning at 8:55 a.m.
