EL DORADO, Ark. — Henderson State shot 304 on Tuesday at Mystic Creek Golf Club to finish as the runner-up at The Arkansas Collegiate Invitational.
The Reddies put up a 36-hole team score of 613 to come in three strokes back of first-place Southern Arkansas and a single stroke in front of third-place Harding.
Nick Shapiro notched a Top-5 finish and tied for third after shooting 5-over 77 in the final round. Shapiro was even on Par 3 scoring for the two-day event.Â
Mitchell Ford finished in a tie for sixth place after carding a 4-over 76. Stuart Krog also wound up in the Top-10 with a 3-over 75 for his last 18 holes. Christian Woods turned in a 5-over 77 to place 15th, while Nathan Cossement rounded out the scoring five for HSU and shot 7-over 79 in the final round to tie for 17th.
Playing as an individual, Kasoma Paulino nabbed his second Top-5 result of the season and also tied for third-place with a score of 2-over 74 on Tuesday. Paulino had seven birdies in the tournament. Also competing individually, Josh McNulty finished in a tie for 17th and Miller Harris tied for 24th.
Henderson will return to the course on March 15-16 when it competes at the Central Oklahoma Broncho Invitational.
