REDDIES REPORT
With a season-opening victory over Delta St. back on Jan. 29, the Reddies took to Cleveland, Mississippi to battle DSU in a rematch at its place. HSU dropped both games as the second contest went into extra innings with the Lady Statesmen claiming the nine-inning win, 4-3.

Â
Henderson State, despite being in the midst of a six-game losing streak on the season, is currently sporting a three-game winning streak against Northwestern with HSU shutting out the Rangers in the last meeting, 8-0, back in 2019. Since 2014, the Reddies lead the series against NWOSU 17-7, including a 6-2 record at Dee White Field.
Â
SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA ST.
Both teams come into this matchup on losing streaks as Northwestern has dropped eight straight ballgames, bringing its record to 7-10 overall and 2-9 in conference play. Within that losing streak, NWOSU went 0-3 in weekend series' to East Central and Southeastern Oklahoma St.
Â
Northwestern's ace in the circle all year has been Hannah Howell, who is carrying a 2.55 ERA in her nine games she has made an appearance in. Through 55 innings pitched, Howell has registered 39 strikeouts to only 14 walks. Outside of NWOSU's ace, Hannah Scoggins is next up in the Ranger bullpen with a 3.42 ERA.
Â
Three girls have accumulated at least 18 hits this season for Northwestern, with leading-pitcher Hannah Howell also leading her squad at the plate, hitting .457 with 21 hits. Three additional Rangers hold down the RBI category as a trio of NWOSU batters are seeing 10 or more, led by Morgan La Neve with 12.
