GAME COVERAGE LINKS | 2021 SOFTBALL GAMEDAY INFORMATION

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State (11-27, 8-19) sees its second-to-last series of the season this weekend when the Reddies play host to the Southeastern Oklahoma St. Savage Storm in a 3-game series beginning Saturday, April 24 at 4 p.m. at Dee White Field. Game two will be played at 12 p.m. on Sunday with game three to follow.

REDDIES REPORT
In this past weekend's series against East Central, Kaitlyn O'Quinn registered two stolen bases to bring her season total to 24 and career total to 40. She needs one more stolen bag to move into sixth place for most in a single season at HSU and third most all-time.

Among the Great American Conference, the Coppell, Texas, native leads the league with 24 thefts this season and is tied for third with 42 hits. Fellow teammate Abbie Moore also finds herself among the elite in the GAC, coming in at a tie for sixth with nine doubles on the year.

As a team, Henderson St. is fifth among the conference with 247 hits and sixth with 46 doubles, along with being third in stolen bases (61). On the other hand, however, the Reddies are 12th in batting average and 10th in runs scored while allowing the most runs of anyone in the GAC.

Defeating the Savage Storm has been a tall task for anyone in the league this season as they are a league-best 20-4 in conference play. Since the formation of the GAC, HSU is 14-22 against SOSU, although it has fared better at home, going 10-6 when playing at Dee White Field in that time.

SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN
Southeastern is coming off a series sweep of Ouachita Baptist and has won eight of its last nine games. The Savage Storm have been equally dominant at home as they have on the road this season, boasting a 15-2 and 15-3 record, respectively.

Peyton Stree carries the fourth best batting average of the league at .400. Second on the team – 10th in the GAC – is Kady Fryrear, who is hitting .372. Fryrear is also tied for third among the league-leaders with 42 hits. Cheyenne Mahy leads the team with eight home runs along with two triples, tied with Kyia Monahwee.

From inside the circle, SOSU is led by Amberlyn Walsworth who has 111 strikeouts through 129.1 innings pitched. When Mahy is not hitting home runs, she is busy carrying a team-best 1.90 ERA with a record of 13-2.
