Annabel Harvey's second year, HSU began the new year getting third out of six teams, defeating College of the Ozarks, Hendrix and Wiley College.
The Reddies were paced by junior
Heidy Galvan, who garnered 12 points as she ran her 5K race in 20:35.8 for 22nd place, carrying a mile pace of 6:37.3. True freshman
Faith Atchison, in her first collegiate race, followed closely behind Galvan in 26th place with a time of 21:37.3 for 13 points.
Martha Mosqueda,
Ashlyn Billingsley and
Tessa Kuykendall were on one another's heels, finishing with a times of 22:47.6, 22:53.8 and 23:11.8, respectively, to fill out the Top-5 scorers for HSU.Â

Marianna Barona Murcia (55) finished their inaugural college races with times of 24:32.3, 24:53.5 and 28:03.5, respectively.
Henderson has just under a week to prepare for their next race, the Texas A&M-Texarkana Collegiate Invitational, Friday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m.Â
