FINAL RESULTS
SEARCY, Ark. - For the second straight meet, the Henderson State cross country team placed third out of seven teams at the Bison Cross Country Invitational hosted by Harding.
The Reddies bested Ozarks, Arkansas-Monticello, Lyon and Central Baptist while meet-host Harding and Division I Arkansas-Little Rock took the top spots.
In the first five-kilometer race of the season,
Heidy Galvan once again paced HSU with a time of 21:52.17 for 15th place out of 40 runners. Newcomer
Natalie Jennings from National Park Junior College finished within a minute of her at 22:51.53 for 18th.
Kristina Kozlova got 21st (25:04.59) while freshman
Jasmine Giddens posted a time of 25:54.19 for 27th.
Lily Winter and
Marianna Murcia rounded out the Reddie runners with times of 28:07.04 and 30:38.89 for 33rd and 37th, respectively.
Henderson St. will now have a couple weeks off before racing their last regular season event of 2023 at the Ozarks Early Bird Invitational Saturday, Oct. 7 at 11 a.m.
