BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – For the third consecutive year, the No. 18 Henderson State men's golf program are GAC Champions after posting a 16-over 880 across the three days. HSU finished the final round with its best score of the event, shooting 3-over 291. 
 
The Reddies saw their lead slip to as low as two strokes as Harding tried to close the gap. However, three straight birdies on the final three holes by Ratio Visuttipinate, along with an eagle by Nathan Cossement and birdies from Ethan Wilkins and Miller Harris on the last hole, helped HSU secure its eighth GAC title.
 
The Bison took second place with a 22-over 886 score across three days and again matched the Reddies in the third round with a 3-over 291 score. The top five remained unchanged from day two, as Southern Arkansas took third place with a final score of 43-over 907, while Southwestern Oklahoma State (4^th) and Arkansas Tech (5^th) round out the top five.
 
Second Team All-GAC Alex Hadden was Henderson's top finisher for the 54-hole event, placing second with a final score of 2-over 218. The Eminence, Ky. native turned in a 5-over 77 in the third round and finished with seven birdies across the tournament after adding one on the front nine.
 
First Team All-GAC Wilkins climbed five spots on the final day, delivering his best round of the tournament, carding a 1-under 71 and finishing tied for sixth with a 6-over 222. Joining Hadden and Wilkins in the top ten, Second Team All-GAC recipients Cossement finished eighth and Harris tied for ninth.
 
Cossement turned in an even-par 72 on the last day to finish 7-over 223, while Harris shot 3-over 75 to bring his final tally to 8-over 224. Cossment paced the five-bag with ten birdies across the three rounds and finished with Hadden as two of three players to record two eagles.
 
Putting in his best round of the tournament, Visuttipinate carded a 1-over 73 with five birdies, including three straight on his last three holes to finish the tournament 13-over 229. The Rayong, Thailand native climbed six spots on the individual leaderboard to finish tied for 17^th.
 
No. 18 HSU now turns its attention to the Central Regional Tournament in Edmond, Okla. on May 9-11, as the Reddies look to punch their ticket to the programs first NCAA National Championship appearance.
