Fifteen Named to All-GAC Football Team

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The All-GAC football teams were released on Wednesday, and fifteen different Henderson State players received recognition. Three players were named to the first team, with five named to the second team and seven to the third team.

Quarterback Andrew Edwards earned his first first-team honor. The senior from Bentonville was twice named to the second team after being named freshman of the year in 2022. Edwards threw for 2,740 yards, ran for 551 yards, and accounted for 28 touchdowns this season, including a career-high 81-yard rushing touchdown in HSU's week 11 win at Ouachita Baptist.

Tight end Cayden Davis was one of just five unanimous first-team selections, his third consecutive time to be named to the first team. The senior from Caddo Mills, Texas led the Reddies in receiving yards and touchdowns and was ranked fifth in the conference with 573 yards.

Senior safety Lanard Harris was the lone defensive Reddie named to the first team. The senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana made 48 tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and one sack. He was also credited with two interceptions and a pass breakup.

Freshman wide receiver Maddox Davis was named to the second team and was one of just seven freshmen to be named All-GAC. The Benton native hauled in 51 catches for 539 yards and two touchdowns, including a 94-yard touchdown grab at Oklahoma Baptist.

Senior linebacker Jordan Owens was also chosen to represent Henderson on the second team. The North Little Rock native was second on the team in tackles with 53, including 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

Senior defensive back Paul Manning earned his first All-GAC selection with a second-team nod. The West Monroe, Louisiana native was a steady hand in the secondary with seven pass breakups and an interception to go along with 24 total tackles and a sack.

Redshirt freshman Taylin Paskel was named to the second team as a return specialist. The Crossett native accounted for both of HSU's special teams touchdowns with an 80-yard punt return against Southern Nazarene and a 95-yard kickoff return against East Central.

Senior De'vonta Roberts was named to the second team as a special teams representative. The senior from Quincy, Florida returned seven kickoffs for 120 yards while also accumulating 17 tackles. Most notably, however, were his multiple interceptions, including a 35-yard pick-six against Ouachita Baptist.

Running back Jeremiah Davis was named to the third team. The senior from Montalba, Texas was Henderson's second-leading rusher in 2025, with 519 yards and eight touchdowns on 98 carries. His career as a Reddie ends with over 2100 career rushing yards.

Junior center Gabe Hernandez joined Davis on the third team. The Lumberton, Texas native anchored a Henderson offensive line that saw significant improvements from 2024. Hernandez has started in 21 of a possible 22 games for the Reddies over the last two seasons.

Defensive tackle Ryan Vollmer earned GAC third-team recognition in his first season with the program. The Palmdale, California native gathered 25 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in 11 games with HSU.

Redshirt freshman Gerard Culotta was also named to the third team. The redshirt freshman linebacker from Montgomery, Texas led Henderson in tackles with 94, fourth-best in the GAC, including a career-high 15 against Harding. He also compiled nine tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks on the year.

Sophomore defensive back Leo Morris garnered third-team honors. The Grand Prairie, Texas native made two defensive touchdowns for the Reddies this year: a 26-yard fumble recovery against Southern Nazarene and a 51-yard pick-six against Northwestern Oklahoma. He was also credited with 44 tackles.

Senior cornerback Kolbi Crawford was also among the third-team honorees. The Bentonville native made two interceptions and two pass breakups to go along with 26 tackles.

Senior punter Axel Robertson rounded out the third team selections for HSU. The Katy, Texas native ranked second in the league in punting in 2025; his 37 punts traveled 1,615 yards, with nine punts going 50 yards or longer. 11 of his kicks pinned opponents inside their own 20-yard line. The third-team honor is the second All-GAC nod for Robertson, following his selection to the second team in 2024.
