Okoh Named GAC Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Henderson State junior guard Zaveion Okoh was named GAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. The honor is Okoh's first of the season.

The Mount Pleasant, Texas native averaged 29 points per game and helped the Reddies to a 1-1 record on the week. Okoh scored 36 points to go along with three steals, two blocks, and two rebounds in Wednesday's overtime loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith. He posted his first double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds in Saturday's win at Christian Brothers, a game in which he also recorded a team-high five steals.

Henderson State opens GAC play this Thursday with a home matchup against Southeastern Oklahoma State. Tip-off from the Duke Wells Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
