Reddie Golf Selected Second in GAC Preseason Poll

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Henderson State men's golf team was picked second in the GAC Preseason Poll released Thursday. This marks the second consecutive year the Reddies were chosen second by league coaches.

Harding was selected to win the conference for the second straight year, receiving five of the possible ten votes as part of their 76 total points. HSU, winners of the last four conference championships, received three first-place votes and 72 total points. Arkansas Tech garnered the other two first-place votes and was selected third. Southern Arkansas and Southwestern Oklahoma rounded out the top five.

Director of Golf Matt Ward has a solid mix of returners and newcomers; Jacob Knowlton, Cooper Williams, Colin Purifoy, and Brode Horton return from last season's squad that tied for thirteenth at the Central/Midwest regional .

The Reddies open their season Monday, September 8th at the Central Missouri Mule Invitational. The two day tournament will take place in Warrensburg, Missouri.
