Blake Christenson was a four-year starting quarterback for the Reddies from 2001 to 2004.
Christenson ranks second all-time in yards rushing with 3,181 and has the HSU record for career rushing touchdowns with 45. He ranks fifth in career passing yards with 3,059 and is tied for second in career scoring 274 points.
In 2003, Christenson earned All-Gulf South Conference honors after rushing for 1,115 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Christenson earned GSC Player of the Week honors three times and was a member of the GSC Academic Honor Roll twice.
Christenson currently is the offensive coordinator at Weatherford (Texas) High School. Prior to coaching at Weatherford, Christenson was quarterbacks coach at Aledo (Texas) High School where his team won six Texas State Championships in eight years. In 2013, Aledo became the first high school team in the nation to score 1,000 points in a season.
Christenson received the 2014 HSU Sporty Carpenter Award.
