Jarrod Eason was Henderson State’s first player to earn First-Team National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-American honors.
Eason was a Second-Team ABCA All-Region pick and also earned First-Team All-GSC honors.
In 2005, Eason hit for a .400 average, belted out 20 doubles, hit a record 15 home runs, drove in 66 runs and had a .794 slugging percentage. That year, Eason set a HSU single-game record with 10 runs batted in against Crichton; going 4-for-6 with two home runs and a double.
During his two years at Henderson, Eason posted a .374 batting average and a .727 slugging percentage.
His 104 career runs batted in ranks fourth in HSU history while his 25 career home runs are second all-time.
